Installing Accessory Vision X Lights

 

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Vision Motor Sports lighting system.
We’ll show you how to install it like the professionals.

Tools needed for installation:
1. Wire stripper / crimper
2. Phillips screwdriver
3. Electrical tape
4. Power drill with 1/8 inch or smaller drill bit

Parts are included to aid installation:
1. Pair of lights
2. Wiring harness
3. Relay
4. Bug button switch w/ harness
5. Phillips screws
6. Wiring diagram (back of box)

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1.     Mount Vision lights in a suitable location on your car.

a.     Remove mounting brackets from lights and secure to vehicle using drill bit and supplied Phillips screws.

b.     Re-mount lights on brackets.

2.     Connect blue wire with the fuse holder to the positive terminal of your battery.

3.     Run red wire down to lights and plug into white wire coming off lights.

4.     Plug in loose black wire into lights and screw remaining end into thick metal on frame of car or connect onto negative terminal of battery.   

5.     Screw 2nd black wire on wiring harness into thick metal on car or onto negative terminal of battery.

6.     Insert relay into harness and secure with a screw next to battery.

7.     Run 2nd blue wire inside the car and connect to the white wire on the Bug Button Harness.

8.     Screw black wire on Bug Button harness into metal.

9.     Connect Red wire on Bug Button harness to parking lights on fuse box. (If you have difficulty finding parking light wire connect to battery power and lights will operate without parking lights on.)

10.   It is now safe to plug in the bug button switch as shown on back of box.

11.   Finally, tape up all wires, plug in lights as shown on diagram and mount Bug Button switch onto  your dash.

TESTING:

1.     Start engine in open ventilated area.

2.     Turn parking lights to on position.

3.     Depress Bug Button switch so red light comes on. (Lights should turn on.)

4.     Depress Bug Button switch so green lights comes on. (Lights should turn off.)

TROUBLESHOOTING:

1.     Switch does not illuminate. (Make sure red wire on Bug Button Switch is connected to battery power and black wire is grounded properly.)

2.     Switch is illuminated but lights do not come on. (Make sure relay is plugged into harness. If relay is plugged in, check fuse holder on blue wire on relay harness.)

3.     Lights still don’t turn on? (Make sure all black wires on relay harness and lights are grounded on vehicle’s metal.)

4.     Still having problems call our technical support team at 1-888-489-9820.

CAUTION:

1.     Never wash your car with the lamps on.

2.     These lamps are extremely hot and should not be touched while on.

3.     Restrain wiring away from hot surfaces and moving parts to avoid damage which is not covered under warranty.

4.     After installing lights be sure to position lamps so not to blind other drivers. Position your car approximately 25 feet from a wall. The top of the beam projected on the wall should be 4 inches lower than the lights center.
